I follow Fogal, Harris & Moss’s (2018) landscape of the contemporary views on individual speech acts. The plan is to build an analogous map for the group speech acts views. To correctly map the view, I argue that we should distinguish between two questions: the performance question, “What does it take for a group to perform a speech act?” and the force question, “What distinguishes the force of different group speech acts?”. In answering the first question, we are interested in knowing when a speech act belongs to (or is rightly attributable to) groups and not to (or not just to) individuals. In the second, we are interested in answering if what distinguishes group speech acts from each other is the same as with individual speech acts or if the group and individual cases are different in regard to the actions being performed and not just how they are being performed.

Title: The Group Speech Acts Landscape Abstract: The objective of this work is to build a map of the views in the group speech acts debate. My aim…

["post-10758","tribe_events","type-tribe_events","status-publish","hentry
["GET
