Examples of School engagement opportunities
Business School
Opportunities include speaker sessions within the MX Programme and Year 1 Employability Bootcamp, as well as contributing case studies to the MSc Entrepreneurship capstone module.
Mathematics and Statistics
Support summer projects for MSc Statistical Ecology students.
Physics and Astronomy
Contribute to careers events by delivering talks that raise awareness of diverse career pathways for Physics and Astronomy graduates.
Biology
Engage through speaker roles at Biology Careers Day, organise site visits for student groups, or offer placements for students on Integrated Masters programmes in Biology, Marine Biology, or Chemical Biology.
Chemistry
Provide placement opportunities for students on the Integrated Masters course.
Computer Science
Opportunities include contributing project ideas for the Software Team Engineering Project module and dissertation topics for undergraduate Honours and MSc students. Employers can also deliver talks and workshops tailored to Computer Science students.
Modern Languages
Offer 7 to 12-month work placements for students undertaking a year abroad. These opportunities are particularly suited to organisations with offices in countries where Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, or Spanish are spoken.
