About the Digital Education TeamÌý

The Digital Education team supports the learning design and creation of online learning courses, including the University’s Digital PGTÌýProgrammes, 58³Ô¹Ï Online non-credit bearing short courses and credit-bearing micro-credentials. We take a collaborative approach to working with academic schools and units across the University to create accessible and engaging online learning experiences.Ìý

This interactive workshop will guide you through designing the student journey through your module, with a strong focus on active learning and meaningful learning activities.Ìý

  • Describe your course in a way that resonates with prospective studentsÌý
  • Identify the types of learning activities best suited to your moduleÌý
  • Map out a detailed, ideal version of your moduleÌý

To get the most from the session, we encourage you to bring a specific module or course you would like to develop or redesign.Ìý

We will be using digital tools during the workshop, so please bring a laptop or other internet?enabled device.Ìý

Aims and objectives

After completing this workshop, participants will be able to:Ìý

  • Produce a complete or near-complete outline for a specific module or course.Ìý
  • Identify and apply the six ABC learning activity types to enhance interactivity in both online and in?person learning.Ìý
  • Locate and access further support and resources to help them design engaging, student-centredÌýmodules.Ìý
