Drawing on parallels from moral responsibility\, I suggest that epistemic responsibility requires a certain minimal level of understanding of the reasons for a belief as a condition for properly accepting it. I’ll sketch out an early conception of how I view this relationship between understanding and belief and offer a couple of arguments in its favor.
