I motivate this view by showing that it justifies some common moral judgements that\u00a0<em data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\" data-removefontsize=\"true\">ex post<\/em>\u00a0views cannot accommodate, but I suggest that we should resist generalising the view to\u00a0<em data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\" data-removefontsize=\"true\">all\u00a0<\/em>chances (so, we should resist\u00a0<em data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\" data-removefontsize=\"true\">ex ante<\/em>\u00a0prioritarianism) and I give some reason for resisting survival chance\u00a0<em data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\" data-removefontsize=\"true\">egalitarianism<\/em>.
