SCOTCAT credits

The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. Module description

This module consolidates the grammar and vocabulary learned during Junior Honours semester 1, through the systematic analysis of the language of the Arabic media. Contemporary texts, audio and audio-visual material will be used. Students will be offered basic training in comprehension and translation of Media Arabic in both directions, and will also compose their own written material and give oral presentations in Arabic.

IN TAKING THIS MODULE YOU MUST HAVE TAKEN AR3401 OR UNDERTAKEN EQUIVALENT STUDY ABROAD.

Coursework = 60%, Written Examination = 40%
