Availability restrictions
The module is restricted to MLitt students in our new programme MLitt (International): International Master in Audio-Visual and Cinema Studies. Because IMACS students enroll in the same modules as standard MLitt students while at 58勛圖, the programme (and hence also this module) will initially be capped at 3 students to maintain a high quality of staff-student supervision.

Module description
Students will be assigned a supervisor from among the teaching staff at the beginning of semester 3 of the IMACS programme. The supervisor will advise on the choice of subject and provide guidance throughout the research process. Students write a detailed dissertation proposal in Semester 3 and write their dissertation during semester 4. The completed dissertation of not more than 15,000 words must be submitted by the end of academic week 13.
