Module description
This module builds on the skills introduced in Research and Writing Skills for Science A in Semester 1. It focuses on developing more advanced research skills, particularly the effective use of references to support scientific arguments. Students will learn to synthesise both direct and indirect quotations into their writing, applying good academic practice while considering the methods and purposes of research. Portfolio assessment allows for greater depth and provides more formative support, enabling students to produce discipline-specific written work.
