The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits are half the value of SCOTCAT credits.

Module description

This module explores the complexities of organisational change, integrating theory and practice to prepare students for leadership and consultancy roles. Students will gain a critical understanding of key theoretical perspectives on organisational change and apply diagnostic tools to assess organisational needs. The module examines the multidimensional impact of change on stakeholders, including employees, customers, and shareholders, emphasizing ethical and inclusive decision-making. Leadership's pivotal role in initiating and sustaining change is explored, equipping students with strategies to manage resistance and foster engagement. Collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams will challenge students to design comprehensive change proposals, enhancing interpersonal and problem-solving skills. By analysing real-world cases and organisational change processes, students will develop actionable insights to improve future change initiatives, ensuring long-term success and sustainability.
