Dr Ben Walton is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow, working with Professor Christian Rutz, to launch an ambitious new global initiative, combining community building, wildlife tracking technology, local empowerment, education, and storytelling to increase human-wildlife coexistence in the world's unprotected areas, in collaboration with the .
Ben has broad interests in animal behaviour and widlife conservation, in particular using cutting-edge biologging technologies to understand animal responses to human activities and increase human-wildlife coexistence.
Ben co-leads the Connectivity Working Group, an international collaboration to transform movement insights into actionable evidence that supports international conservation policy and planning for habitat connectivity.
