Biography
ErvenÌýobtained both her PhD and MSc from the University of 58³Ô¹Ï.Ìý HerÌýPhD in Economics was fully funded jointly by the Scottish Institute for Research in Economics and the University of 58³Ô¹Ï. HerÌýMSc in International Strategy and Economics was fully funded by the British Chevening Scholarship. She completed her MSc with a Distinction, winning the Dr John B Henderson Prize for achieving the highest overall course grade among her cohort. Her BSc in Accounting and Finance, which she completed with a First Class Honours, was awarded by the University of London in association with the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to her academic pursuit, Erven had a fruitful career at the corporate taxation department of Deloitte Singapore. Her research interests include the intersection between economic development and various socio-political and development issues such as inequality, corruption, environment, sustainability, governance, and politics.
