Biography

Dr Pejman Abedifar took up the role of Honorary Lecturer in 2020, having been a Lecturer in Banking and Finance with the University of 58³Ô¹Ï School of Management from 2014 to 2020. He earned his PhD in Economics – specialising in money, finance and banking – from Université de Limoges, France in December 2013.Ìý

Pejman was co-supervisor of Dr Sara Al Balooshi, who graduated from the University of 58³Ô¹Ï in 2020.

Research areas

Pejman's current research projects include Islamic finance, stock price informativeness, trade credit, and resolution of failed banks. He has published articles in leading journals such as Review of Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Banking & Finance and Journal of the American Academy of Religion.Ìý
