Prospective students

Divinity - the study of theology and biblical studies - allows students and researchers to ask large questions about the meaning of life, and about the substance and formation of human belief; and it provides the analytical, linguistic, and textual skills to pursue those questions. These skills equip students for a wide range of careers, including public service, teaching, research and ministry.

The School of Divinity teaches undergraduates and postgraduates in addition to a large cohort of students on PhD research degrees. It has a warm and close-knit community in which professors, lecturers and students work and learn together. Known also by its original designation, St Mary’s College, the School continues a tradition of study and research on, or around, this site that goes back to the fifteenth century.
