Research areas

Dr Camilo Ardila is an Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) at the School of International Relations. He also serves as a Forum Editor for the journal .

Camilo's current research explores the intersection of decolonial studies, transitional justice, democratic theories and environmental politics

Camilo holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Edinburgh. His work has been published in Millennium, Res Publica, Journal of Moral Philosophy, LSE Book Reviews, Cuestiones de Filosofía and Diálogos de Saberes. Camilo's first monograph is currently under contract with Duke University Press.

Before joining the University of 58³Ô¹Ï, Camilo held teaching positions at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Dundee in the UK. Camilo was also a Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute for Social and Cultural Studies Pensar in Colombia.
