Biography
Nina Maksimova builds software to interpret cosmological narratives. She did her undergraduate work at Dartmouth College in theoretical cosmology, then completed a PhD at Harvard University in supercomputing for astrophysics, in 2022. Her thesis centred on the co-creation of AbacusSummit, the world’s largest set of high-accuracy cosmological N-body simulations to date. She then augmented her training in the mathematical and programming languages with an MLitt from the University of 58³Ô¹Ï in the Biblical Languages and Literature. As a postdoctoral fellow, she is designing software to facilitate biblical exegesis and literary analysis of stories that ask universal questions: where did our Universe come from? How will it end? What is our role in its larger logos?
